Lorene Whitley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Callahan and Lottie Herron Callahan, was born February 24, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:03 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 91 She professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Lorene was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after forty-four years of service. She united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Whitley June 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death October 30, 1988. She loved her children and family. She also enjoyed her flowers, watching game shows and listening to George Jones. Lorene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Whitley of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Brad Akridge and wife, Regina and Derrick Whitley and wife, Felicia of Campbellsville, Lisa Blandford and husband, Tommy of Lebanon and Andrea Wood and husband, Mark of Russellville; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Odel Callahan and wife, Charlotte of Campbellsville and Rudolf Callahan of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Gale Gilbert September 6, 2021; a son-in-law, Mel Gilbert January 25, 2018 and a brother, Tom Callahan. ________________ VISITATION: 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 14, 2022 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev.
