William Garnett Bault of Campbellsville, son of the late Basil Bault and Bertie Hovious Bault, was born November 1, 1929, in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 9:15 P.M., Monday, February 25, 2019 in Louisville. Age: 89 He professed faith in Christ and was a long time active member of Palestine Baptist Church serving in many capacities such as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Music Leader and was honored to be named a Deacon Emeritus. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country honorably in the United States Army. William was a carpenter, farmer and former employee of Overhead Door Company. He was a jack of all trades and could repair anything with duck tape and WD40. He was a devoted husband, father and doting grandfather who was known for his witty sense of humor and love of peanut brittle, which he kept handy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He united in marriage to Barbara Jean Fawcett October 4, 1953 and she preceded him in death April 21, 2017. He is survived by one daughter, Ruthie Bender of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Robert Bender of Campbellsville and Jenna Lee and husband, David of Cookeville, Tennessee; one brother and one sister: Leonard Bault of Cane Valley and Betty Willis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
