Tom Caldwell of Campbellsville, son of the late William Morton Caldwell, Sr. and Odessa Shankle Caldwell, was born January 25, 1945 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
He died at 1:30 A.M., Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Campbellsville, aged 80.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church.
Tom served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves.
He worked for Eastern Airlines for 26 years, was a former news anchor for the Big Dawg WVLC 99.9FM, and retired from owning and running a real estate brokerage in Campbellsville. Tom was united in marriage to Julie Gaffin on May 9, 1970. Besides his wife, Julie Caldwell of Campbellsville, Tom is survived by two sons: Todd Caldwell and wife, Cami of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Brian Caldwell and wife, Shannon of Lone Tree, Colorado; eight grandchildren: Emily Caldwell, Sarah Caldwell, Heath Caldwell, John Caldwell, Luke Caldwell, Sam Caldwell, Brayden Caldwell and Charlotte Caldwell; one sister, Marilyn Gauvin of Westminster, Massachusetts; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death in 2015 by his brother Morton Caldwell.
