Terry Poore, daughter of the late William Jackson Horton and Eva Thelma Whisman Horton, was born July 15, 1924 in Lee County, Kentucky. She died at 10:45 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 95 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. She was owner and operator of Poore’s Sewing Center and was an excellent seamstress. After retirement she and her husband loved traveling, spending time in Florida, camping, fishing, vending at flea markets and festivals and being an active member of her church. Terry was a loving and devoted wife,mother and grandmother who also loved her church family dearly. She united in marriage to Jesse H. Poore August 26, 1941 and he preceded her in death May 19, 1998. Terry is survived by one son, Dennis Poore of Arley, Alabama and one daughter, Julia Poore of Greenwood, Indiana; a son-in-law, Jimmie Cable and his wife Judy of Campbellsville; one sister, Janice Smith and her husband, Scott of Beaver Creek, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Pamela Poore Brannon, David Poore, Christopher Murrah, Kelly Murrah Williams, Jessica Poore Tipton, Gina Wilber, Libby Wright and Misty Hughes; eleven great-grandchildren: Lauren Breza, Margaret “Maggie” Breza, David Breza, Hunter Williams, Jackson Williams, Anna Tipton, Landon Tipton, Jamie Frost, Brittany Mays, Logan Hughes and Lindsey Hughes; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Cable, one son, Dr. Jesse H. Poore, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Poore and one great-grandson, T.J. Mays. For the past 1 ½ years, Terry had lived at Bluegrass Way Assisting Living where she enjoyed the love and companionship of her neighbors and the staff. VISITATION: 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
