Opal Lea Wood

Opal Lea Wood of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Earl E. Cox and Flossie Ella Cave Cox, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:20 P.M., Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Campbellsville. She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. Opal was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She is survived by two daughters and one son: Shiela Newcomb and husband, Sam of Frankfort, Sharon Arrowood and husband, Henry of Smyrna, Tennessee and Steve Wood and companion, DeLisa Patterson of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Ryan Newcomb and wife, Ashley of Frankfort, Daniel Arrowood and wife, Kristy and April Sneed and husband, David of Smyrna, Tennessee, Brittany Wood-Perkins and husband, Isaiah, Ashley Thomas and husband, Brandon of Campbellsville; great-grandchildren: Elle Newcomb, Claudia Newcomb, Sawyer Arrowood, Amity Parker and Brylee Sneed and several other great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
