Mary Jean Smith of Peewee Valley, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ruel H. “Buck” DeSpain and Anna Skaggs DeSpain, was born September 22, 1927 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:35 P.M., Sunday, February 4, 2018 in PeeWee Valley. Age: 90 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Mary was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after thirty-eight years of service. She is survived by one son and two daughters: David R. Smith of Campbellsville, Patricia Jones and Fran Smith Feldkamp and husband, Gary of Louisville; four grandchildren: Connie Alrodan and husband, Hamoud and Debbie White of Glasgow, Lori Morel of Byrdstown, Tennessee and Olivia Feldkamp of Denver, Colorado; ten great-grandchildren: Brittany Hagan Phillips, Heather Hagan, Shay Alrodan, Sara Alrodan, Allie Alrodan, Jenna Alrodan and Rodan Alrodan of Glasgow, Blake Morel, Keller Morel and Hunter Morel of Byrdstown, Tennessee; one great-granddaughter, Skye Milby and many other relatives and friends.
