Josephine "Jo" Colvin

Josephine (Land) Colvin passed away on March 5, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 83 years of age. Jo was born on February 2, 1939, in Casey County, the daughter of Tommie Land and Nellie (Noel) Land. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robbin C. Colvin, and brothers, Donald Land and Roger Land. Jo is survived by her husband, who is the love of her life, Richard “Shorty” Colvin, daughter, Colleen (Steve) Hunt, grandson, Drew Hunt, granddaughter, Courtney (Clint) Vaughn, and great-grandson, Collin Vaughn, all of Campbellsville; sisters: Sharon Harne of Liberty and Sandy (Garry) Oney of Winchester; sisters-in-law, Shirley Land of Liberty and Anita Land of Campbellsville. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom she loved dearly and special friends: Bonnie Wilson, Dollie Cruse, Patricia Pierce and Cindy Cox. Jo’s working career included Fruit of the Loom, Victor’s Department Store and J.C. Penney. She and Shorty loved vacationing in Hawaii, where they vacationed numerous times. Jo attended the Noel’s Chapel First Church of God in Casey County, where she poured her heart and soul into working with the children’s church.
