Irvin Wright of Campbellsville, son of the late Milton Irvin Wright and Lizzie Sidebottom Wright was born March 30, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:00 A.M., Friday, October 1, 2021 in Greensburg. Age: 97 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Irvin was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. He retired from the Kentucky Highway Department after 30 years service and was a farmer and truck driver. Irvin enjoyed being in the woods hunting for mushrooms and ginseng and visiting and talking with family and friends. He loved his church family and grandchildren. He united in marriage to Myrtle Edith Curry July 3, 1954. She preceded him in death December 15, 1993. He married Rita Underwood in 1994 and she preceded him in death July 31, 2017. He is survived by one step-daughter, Terri Richerson and husband, Sam of Campbellsville, one step-son, Mike Warren and wife, Deborah of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren: Tiffany Richerson and partner, Jacob Covin, David Richerson, Kevin Richerson and partner, Lisa Kearnes, Kelly Baldwin and husband, Austin, Casey Warren and Kendall Warren; three great-grandchildren: Presley Covin, Romie Covin and Wesley Baldwin; one half- sister, Brenda Montgomery of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
