Herman “Sluggo” Curry of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Hartford Curry and Evelyn Bishop Curry was born May 5, 1945 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 6:40 A.M., Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 72 Herman was a former manager at W.L. Johnsons in Green County and more recently employed at P.C. Clark Supply in Campbellsville. He was a veteran of Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army. Herman was a member of the Rod Lowe Post 124 American Legion Auxiliary in Greensburg, Kentucky and enjoyed fishing whenever the opportunity came along. Herman united in marriage to Reta Faye McCubbin January 1, 1991 and she preceded him in death April 1, 2001. He is survived by two sons: Timmy Curry and fiancé, Karen Shuck and Troy Curry and wife, Cassie of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Dalton Wade Curry and Cody Renn Curry of Greensburg; two brothers and one sister: Willie Hartford Curry of Tucson, Arizona, Jerry Curry and wife, Judy and Vanda Wilson and husband, Terry of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
