Helen Reece Kessler of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Sherman Reece and Lucy Compton Reece, was born October 16, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:49 A.M., Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 88 She professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. Helen was a cashier at Houchens for twenty-one years then worked as a teller for Taylor County Bank until her retirement. She and James enjoyed their retirement years together in Florida. Helen was a great cook who loved to feed her family and friends; she also enjoyed horseback riding and playing cards. She united in marriage to James Elwood Kessler June 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death March 16, 2008. Helen is survived by two daughters: Donna Davis and husband, William and Tammy Cox and husband, Greg of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Jeremiah Davis and wife, Tabetha of Campbellsville, Sarah Cornette and husband, Jordan of Danville and Elijah Cox and wife, Carissa of Lexington; seven great-grandchildren: Elliott Davis and wife, Kierra, Evan Davis and fiancé, Sara Lawson, Kennadie Cornette, Rowan Cornette, Scarlett Cornette, Lincoln Cox and Nora Cox; one great-great-grandchild, Grayson Kessler Davis; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
