Esther Harmon of Campbellsville, daughter of the late H. O. Purvis and Nancy DeSpain Purvis, was born October 4, 1921 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:30 A.M., Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 97 She was a former employee of the Aquarium World Fish Store and also worked in a furniture store with her husband, Ernest. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Ernest R. Harmon October 21, 1939 and he preceded her in death September 30, 2001. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Tammy Houk of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Lana Kay Humphress of Junction City, Kansas, Erondia Sue Weldon of New Albany, Indiana, Bonnie Dale Humphress Meyer of Loretta, Pennsylvania, Connie Jo Wheelehan of Black Foot, Idaho and Derek Ray Harmon of Bowling Green; nine great- grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Linton and husband, Chris of Sellersburg, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
