Elizabeth "Betty" Bennett

Elizabeth “Betty” Bennett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Claude Shepherd and Carrie Garman Shepherd, was born February 9, 1929 in Roanoke County, Virginia. She died at 11:48 A.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 94 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Betty was a retired caregiver having worked at many different nursing and retirement homes. She united in marriage to Edgar “Ed” Bennett August 9, 1948 and he preceded her in December, 1992. Betty is survived by three daughters and one son: Jeanie Tincher and husband, Benny of Owensboro, Judy Frazer and husband, John of Campbellsville, Missy McKinley of Greensburg and Eddie Bennett and wife, Andrea of Campbellsville; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Christine Trumbull of Salem, Virginia and Helen Willis of Springfield, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
