Earlene Bright Holtzclaw of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Hicks and Essie Faye Hayes Hicks was born April 8, 1934 in Watauga County, North Carolina. She died at 4:15 P.M., Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 85 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. Earlene was a talented seamstress having worked at Brack’s and Magnolia Alley making custom window treatments. She united in marriage to Robert Bright December 27, 1950. He preceded her in death July 16, 1994. She later united in marriage to John Holtzclaw June 10, 2000. Besides her husband, John Holtzclaw of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters: Gail Godsey and husband, Doug of Campbellsville and Jackie Watson and husband, Randy of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren: Kyle Godsey and wife, Jennifer of Campbellsville and Hannah Smith and husband, Josh of Elizabethtown; two step-grandchildren: Sarah Naufel and husband, Josh of Louisville and Brett Watson of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Godsey and Brayden Godsey of Campbellsville ; two step-great-grandchildren, Kylie Hall and Silas Naufel of Louisville; two sisters and one brother: Janet Osborne of Campbellsville, Ruth Greer and husband, Dwight of Knifley and Lloyd Hicks and wife, Deloris of Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie L.
