Earldeen A. "Deen" Smith

Earldeen A. “Deen” Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Earl Atwood and Hazel Loraine Dunn Atwood, was born July 22, 1939, in Simpson County, Kentucky. She died at 10:45 A.M., Monday, October 8, 2018 in Louisville, at the age of 79. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she had held several positions, including being a member of the choir, the Susan Loy Circle and the Board of Trustees. She was a member of the Campbellsville Women’s Club and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Deen was a retired schoolteacher having taught in schools in Kentucky and Ohio for more than forty years and almost thirty of those were with the Taylor County School System. She united in marriage to Tom H. Smith June 20, 1960. Besides her husband, Tom Smith of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters: Tommi Hamilton and husband, Bob of Montgomery, Texas and Terri Gabriel and husband, T. J. of Gainesville, Georgia; five grandchildren: Derek Hamilton of Austin, Texas, Dagny Hamilton of Bowling Green, Davis Gabriel, Elliot Gabriel and Hayes Gabriel of Gainesville, Georgia; one sister, Wilma Thompson of Scottsville, Kentucky and many other relatives and friends. _______________ VISITATION:  5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at First United Methodist Church FUNERAL SERVICE:              2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville by Pastor Mike Coppersmith BURIAL:    Brookside Cemetery EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY REQUESTED TO BE DONATIONS TO GIDEON BIBLES AND MAY BE MADE AT PARROTT & RAMSEY FUNERAL HOME
