Dr. Shirley B. Meece

Dr. Shirley B. Meece was born in Berea, Kentucky, October 2, 1929. She passed away March 28, 2021 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Dr. Meece was married to Dr. Drewry Meece, April 24, 1965. He preceded her in death. Shirley was the daughter of Taylor P. Baker and Marie Gay Baker. She is survived by two special friends, Cheryl Chandler and Edwina Rowell and many friends. Shirley received her PhD in English Literature from the University of Kentucky. She enjoyed a teaching career at Campbellsville University. Shirley loved to travel, visiting many states and countries. For 17 summers she taught English in China.
