Clara Williams Sapp Newton

Clara Williams Sapp Newton, daughter of the late C.M. Williams and Lera Morrison Williams was born September 14, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:00 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 83 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of 3Trees Church. She loved God and her family above all. Clara was retired from Fruit of the Loom after 42 years service. She was a hard worker. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to with everyone and tell stories old and new. Her infectious smile will certainly be missed. She was always up for anything as long as her family was involved; her favorite days were when they all got together for a meal. She was a tremendous cook. She never failed to tell her children and grandchildren how much she loved them and that she was proud of them. She united in marriage to Wallace Sapp October 17, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 6th 2003. She married Ollie Newton January 31, 2006. He preceded her in death June 14, 2015. She is survived by one son and three daughters: Tim Sapp and wife, Michelle of Lexington, Debbie Sexton and husband, Ronnie, Denise Reynolds and husband, Tony, and Dinah Leibeck and husband, Jon of Campbellsville; three step-children: Barry Newton, Brian Newton and Bonnie Minor; nine grandchildren: Chris Sexton, Allen Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, Tiffany Polk, Tabby Johns, Samantha Farmer, Madison Musselman, Gracie Sapp, Emma Claire Sapp; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Eloise Elmore and Ann Williams; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gretchen Warner; one brother and four sisters: Jerry Williams, Cena Hottel, Betty Pyles, Audrey Rhinehart and Nellie Katheryn Williams. ______________ AS MANDATED BY THE GOVERNOR, SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.
