Opal Pierce, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bill Loyall and Oma Underwood Loyall, was born October 21, 1928, in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 7:40 A.M., Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 88 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Opal was a retired worker of Union Underwear where she served for just over thirty years. She united in marriage to James Pierce in December, 1944 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1996. She is survived by one son, Bobby Pierce and wife, Patricia of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Allen Pierce and wife, Angie and Jennifer Tungate of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren: Amber Gray and husband, Tyler, Austin Tungate, and Shelbie Pierce of Campbellsville, and Kristan Beard of Lexington; three great-great-grandchildren: Laityn Gray, Jayce Gray and Koheyn Gray of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Effie Gibson. _______________ VISITATION: 5:00-8:00 P.M., Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
