Freda Stayton

Freda Stayton of the Christie Chapel community, daughter of the late Robert Welby Stayton and Lear Ruth Christie Stayton, was born August 22, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:15 A.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Elizabethtown. Age: 76 She attended Christie Chapel United Methodist Church. Freda loved coloring, teddy bears and was very happy all the time. She also loved everyone and seeing the “preacher man” as she called her pastor. She is survived by three brothers and one sister: William R. Stayton and wife, Gladys of Campbellsville, Jewel Dean Flinchum of Elk Horn, Leadis R. Stayton and wife, Suzie of Johnsburg, Illinois and Lanious R. Stayton of Covington; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
