Mary Belle Gaines of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Wesley Livesay and Sarah Belle Castle Livesay, was born November 28, 1926, in Knox County, Kentucky. She died at 9:25 A.M., Monday, January 30, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 90 Mary Belle was a retired lunchroom employee of Campbellsville Independent School System. She enjoyed being around the children and cherished the times working at the school. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She was very active in the United Methodist Women and loved her church. Any time her grandchildren had activities, she was always in attendance. Spending time with her family was her first priority. She united in marriage to James Allen “Jimmy” Gaines July 10, 1943 and he preceded her in death November 23, 2009. Mary Belle is survived by one son, Allen Lee Gaines of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Kim Ford and husband, Todd and Josh Gaines and wife, Desirae of Campbellsville and Matthew Gaines of Louisville; one great-granddaughter, Harper Marie Gaines of Campbellsville; daughter-in-law, Diane Kay Gaines of Campbellsville; one sister, Mary Lois Reynolds of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
