Joe Bailey of Campbellsville, son of the late Daniel Bailey and Mallie Graham Bailey, was born July 14, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:25 P.M., Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 79 He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. During his tenure Joe was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. After returning back to Campbellsville he became a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM and was also a member of the Kosair Shriners. Joe was a retired semi-truck driver and former Sergeant with the Campbellsville Police Department in the early 1960s. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Ina Hunt December 10, 1960. Besides his wife, Ina Bailey of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Sandra Bailey of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Brandon Bailey, Alex Bailey and Heather Bailey of Campbellsville; one sister, Imogene Gabbert of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Betty Bailey of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
