Hazel G Shofner

Hazel G. Cash Shofner of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late R. T. Cash and Mattie Morris Cash was born November 20, 1927 in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 9:25 A.M., Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 89 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. She worked for thirty years at Brown Williamson Tobacco Company. She united in marriage to Thomas C. Shofner in 1942. He preceded her in death December 10, 2010. She is survived by three sons and two daughters: William T. Shofner, Sharlot V. Galloway and Patricia K. Blackford of Louisville, James B. Shofner and wife, Jean of Bardstown and Raymond Shofner of Florida; two step-daughters: Sharon Sullivan and Brenda Stovall; eighteen grandchildren: Wilbur E. Lee, Darryl R. Lee, Pamela M. Rowe, Steven A. Shofner, Raymond J. Shofner, Joseph R. Shofner, Rebecca L. Becker, Marcie J. Nease, Scott Shofner, John T. Galloway, Michael A. Galloway, Melissa D. Miller, Melinda S. Fitzgerald, Christina N. Powell, Benjamin C. Blackford, Ashley Sullivan, John Sullivan, and Matthew Sullivan; thirty-one great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delois Lee and Joyce Johnson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Shofner, two grandsons: Donnie Galloway and Thomas J. Shofner and three brothers and two sisters: Raymond Cash, Wilson Cash, Paul (Junior) Cash, Lorene Pendergraf and Barbara Cash.
