Wilbur David Phillips of Campbellsville, son of the late Ray H. Phillips and Blanche Thompson Phillips, was born November 22, 1944, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:30 P.M., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 71 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army in Germany and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He received the National Defense Service Medal, and Sharpshooter (rifle) He was a retired Chemical Plant Manager. He united in marriage to Jewell Cook Phillips, May 13, 1968. She preceded him in death December 21, 2003. He united in marriage to Susan Fitzgerald June 26, 2004. Besides his wife, Susan Phillips of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Shannon Martin and husband, Davey of Greensburg and Danielle O’Brien and husband, Shawn of Columbus, Ohio; four step-daughters: Debra Severino of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Cherida Severino of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Mara Hutchings and husband, Brian of Estill Springs, Tennessee and Charlotte Pelto and husband, Marty of Springfield, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers: Marguerite Clark, Nancy Phillips, Wayne Delmore Phillips, Irvin Phillips, Garnett Phillips, and Alton Phillips. ________________ VISITATION: 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 26, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro.
