Hugh Mack Garrett of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry T. Garrett and Mattie Tungate Garrett, was born April 4, 1926 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 4:40 A.M., Monday, July 11, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 90 He was baptized in the Methodist faith when living in Louisville. He was a retired farmer, factory employee and postal service employee. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a disabled veteran having suffered injuries on Normandy Hill. He united in marriage to Mary Ann Fisher June 18, 1966. Besides his wife, Mary Ann Garrett of Campbellsville, he is survived by seven sisters and one brother: Marguerite Sallee and Emmie Edwards and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville, Kitty Jarboe of Covington, Gladys Jean Childress of Louisville, Linda Quinn and husband, David of Harrodsburg and Audrey Kirkland and husband, Jerry, Shirley Richardson and husband, Leonard and Oliver Garrett and wife, Kathryn of Lebanon; one step-brother, John Sallee and wife, Gertie of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother-in-law, William Earl Fisher and wife, Anna Marie of Smiths Grove; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
