Brooklyn Carothers of Campbellsville, daughter of Travis Carothers and the late Ashley Benningfield Moore, was born April 14, 2006, in Hardin County, Kentucky. She died at 6:10 A.M., Monday, March 21, 2016 in Larue County as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident. Age: 9
She professed faith in Christ and attended New Journey Church and Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Brookie was a fourth grade student at Taylor County Elementary School and a member of the Dance Team. She was very creative having been voted the best artist in kindergarten and was continuing to develop her talent. She enjoyed driving Poppy on the side-by-side, taking care of her Sissy Allie, playing with Taylor and the family pup, Jed and going to the American Doll Store.
Besides her father, Travis Carothers of Elizabethtown, she is survived by two sisters: Allie Moore of Campbellsville and Taylor Harvard of Elizabethtown; grandparents: Sharon and Ronnie Booth of Campbellsville, Jerry and Judy Love of Stevensburg and Jack Carothers of Elizabethtown; great-grandparents: Dehlia Booth, Leaman Benningfield and John and Bessie Vaughn; aunts and uncles: Jeremy Carothers, Chris Benningfield, Jessica Davis and husband, Jacob and Lane Booth and wife, Brooke; a special “Sissy”, Isabelle Davis; five special cousins: Riley Duren, Tyler Booth, Lawson Booth, Will Davis and Dehlia Benningfield; and many other relatives and friends.
Her mother, Ashley Moore, also died in the accident.
She was also preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Jody Booth.
