Christine Burress

Christine Burress of Campbellsville, daughter of the late H. B. Philpott and Verna Isaacs Philpott, was born August 3, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:47 P.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 89 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church in Louisville. She was a retired seamstress. She united in marriage to Robert “Pat” Burress July 30, 1949. He preceded her in death March 9, 1981. She is survived by one daughter and one son: Robert L. Burress and wife, Patricia of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Cathy Decker and husband, Bill of Louisville; two grandchildren: Melissa Thomas and husband, Randy of Piedmont, South Carolina and Kristin Decker of Louisville; two great-grandchildren: Megan Kramer and Stephen Thomas; one sister, Catherine Kearney of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
