George Phillip Thompson

George Phillip Thompson of Campbellsville, son of the late Sam Thompson and Alice Thompson, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 19, 1947. He died at 3:53 P.M., Monday, September 14, 2015, in Campbellsville. Age: 67 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Eva Atwood August 19, 1967. Besides his wife, Eva Atwood Thompson of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons: Chris Thompson and wife, Renee, Mark Thompson and Jason Thompson and wife, April of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Airel Thompson, John Thompson, Amber Thompson and Austin Thompson; one step-granddaughter, Allie McKibbon; three brothers and two sisters: Paul Thompson and wife, Brenda, Bobby Thompson and wife, Alice and Billy Thompson and wife, Carolyn of Campbellsville, Jauhnell Cox of Somerset and Kathey Reed and husband, Bill of Winchester; two sisters-in-law: Sandy Jeffries and husband, Thurman and Trisha Adams; three brothers-in-law: Gene Atwood and wife, Velma, Danny Atwood and wife, Nancy and Vernon Atwood and wife, Lana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. _______________ A private service will be held with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
