David Parsons

David Parsons of Campbellsville, son of the late Lawrence E. Parsons and Pauline Smith Parsons, was born November 23, 1951, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Campbellsville. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a retired school teacher with the Taylor County High School where for thirty one years he taught Special Education and World of Work and coached boys and girls tennis, was assistant basketball coach for boys and girls, and coached golf for twenty years. He also coached tennis at Campbellsville University for twelve years. He united in marriage to Brenda Campbell June 25, 1971. Besides his wife, Brenda Parsons of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons: Brandon Parsons and wife, Miranda of Campbellsville and Tyler Parsons and wife, Beth of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: Chloe Elizabeth Parsons and David Campbell Parsons; one brother and one sister: Sam Parson and wife, Margaret and Glenda Lawson of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, Nellie Campbell of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law, Steve Campbell and wife, Sue of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
