Willis Benningfield

Willis Benningfield of Elkhorn, son of the late Marvin Benningfield and Ethel Lee Puryear Benningfield was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 17, 1933.He died at 8:58 P.M., Friday, February 6, 2015, in Louisville. Age: 81 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. He was a retired farmer and served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by three brothers: Sam Benningfield and wife, Mildred of Campbellsville, Walter Benningfield and James Benningfield and wife, Burnestine of Elkhorn; one niece and one nephew: Joan Walls and husband, Donald of Campbellsville and Roger Benningfield and wife, Karen of Elkhorn; several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two half –brothers: Victor Benningfield and Clarence Benningfield and one nephew, Stanley Benningfield.
