Virginia Askren

Virginia Askren of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ben Harrison Perkins and Virginia Pike Perkins, was born July 28, 1919, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:28 A.M., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 95 She professed faith in Christ and was of the Separate Baptist Faith. She was a retired employee of the Holiday Inn Gift Shop in Louisville. She united in marriage to John Askren September 4, 1964. He preceded her in death November 7, 2000. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Reynolds of Campbellsville; six step-children: Jerry Askren, Bradley Askren and Becky McKinley of Indiana, Terry Askren and Kevin Askren of Georgia and Kim Skees and husband, Jim of Crestwood, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Debbie Reynolds of Campbellsville; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Loretta Sharp and Margaret Barnett of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
