Wesley Perkins of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Adair County, Kentucky, son of the late Barm William Perkins and Ellen Gumm Perkins, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, March 13, 1922. He died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Age: 91He professed faith in Christ.He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and receiving a Purple Heart.He was a retired zoo keeper in Houston, Texas. He united in marriage to Christine White who preceded him in death July 11, 2008. He is survived by one daughter, Donna Kay Perkins of Hermitage, Tennessee; one grandson, Kyle Perkins Hendricks of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Elma Jean Wilson Stiles and husband, Jesse of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Jean Perkins and two brothers and two sisters: Sherman Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Magdalene Benningfield and Blanche Irene Perkins.
