Sam Harrison

Sam Harrison of Elkhorn, son of the late Otha Harrison and Anna Mae Phillips Harrison, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, September 28, 1934. He died at 11:30 P.M., Friday, March 21, 2014 in Elkhorn. Age: 79He professed faith in Christ and was a member and deacon at Elkhorn Baptist Church.He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.He united in marriage to Phyllus Baker February 6, 1954. Besides his wife Phyllus Harrison, he is survived by two daughters: Kathy Harden and husband, Ricky and Shelia Moore and husband, Robert of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Cory Harrison, Chris Harrison and wife, Megan, Chad Wilson and wife, Amanda, Jamie Wright and husband, Tommy, Justin Harden and wife, Kendall, Jessie Harden and Sami Jo Harden; nine great grandchildren; one sister: Anna Margaret Perkins of Campbellsville, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by one son: Gene Douglas Harrison March 29, 2000, five sisters and two brothers: Mildred H. Wolf, Venola Sharpe, Maudie Dile, Claudie Dile, Rachel Harrison, Willie Harrison and Walter Harrison.
