Jewell Beard

Jewell Beard of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy W. Sexton and Pearl Elizabeth Dixon Sexton, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 4, 1927. She died at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 4, 2014 in Campbellsville. Age: 86She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She was a childcare provider.She united in marriage to Rev. Shiley Beard in 1945. He preceded her in death April 18, 1987.She is survived by one son and one daughter: Paul Beard and wife, Ann and Phyllis Milby and husband, Tom of Campbellsville; a son-in-law and his wife, John and Debbie Cable of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren: Damon Beard, Paula Rose, Laura Marcum, Vicki Milby, Anthony Harris, Tye Cable, Ryan Cable and Michelle Stewart; five great-grandchildren: Mark Evan Harris, Katie Harris, Elizabeth Marcum, Alayna Marcum, and Mia Harris; four sisters: Wilma Farmer and husband, Gerald, Sue Burriss and husband, Jackie, Kay Harrison and husband, Harold of Campbellsville, and Linda O. Castillo and husband, Pepi of Birmingham, Alabama; brother-in-law, Conrad Claycomb and sister-in-law, Faye Sexton of Campbellsville;She was preceded in death by two daughters: Patricia Stewart and Peggy Cable; a grandson, Timothy Perkins; and three sisters and two brothers: Dorothy Claycomb, Billy Frank Sexton, Deloris Graham, Roy O. ?Tom? Sexton and Geneva Mattingly.
