Berney Kessinger

Berney Kessinger of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Clay Kessinger and Lizzie Nelson Kessinger, was born in Larue County, Kentucky June 5, 1932. He died at 5:20 A.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, in Louisville. Age: 81 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.He was a mechanic and former employee of Larue County Road Department and Fruit of the Loom.He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Martha Sapp Brewer April 7, 2006. Besides his wife, Martha Sapp Kessinger, he is survived by three sons and one daughter: Leon Kessinger and wife, Joan and Ricky Kessinger and wife, Mary of Hodgenville, Mark Kessinger and wife, Renee of Campbellsville and Debbie Henderson and husband, Billy of Greensburg; two step-children: Wayne Sapp and wife, Wanda of Campbellsville and Kathy Pierce and husband, Chris of North Liberty, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Ashley Yount, Wesley Kessinger, Allison Kessinger, Whitney Kessinger, Emily Kessinger, Ashley Mosley, Marcus Kessinger and Logan Kessinger; three step- grandchildren: Josh Sapp and wife, Tasha, Shane Sapp and wife, Candace and Tiffany Raikes: three step great-grandchildren: Kyler Sapp, Hank Sapp and Bailey Sapp; one brother, Arvin Kessinger and wife, Julie of Hodgenville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Marie Cruse and Naomi Twiddy.
